Unheard Music launches as a label for artistic freedom and underground expression

Unheard Music launches as a new collective-driven record label built on the principle of freedom over formulas. Centred on artists and truth in sound, Unheard is committed to releasing music that is uncompromising, unpredictable and charged with underground energy. The label is announced with its debut release, ‘Rabbit Hole’, from Far&High and pizzaaftersex, which also features remixes from Sasha Carassi and Gorge. A full catalogue of releases is forthcoming across both digital and vinyl formats, reflecting the label’s commitment to tangible, artist-led output.

Born from the belief that dance music should be more than trends, algorithms, or safe formulas, Unheard Music gives artists the freedom to go off-script. The mission is clear: Unheard Music exists to provide artists with a space to break boundaries, experiment, and be heard in ways that feel raw and honest.

The label has been launched by three artists who embody this philosophy. Far&High, a project shaped by 25 years of experience in electronic music, merges indie dance with fearless experimentation, known for tracks including ‘Alone’ and ‘Sans Vêtements’. pizzaaftersex, a figure with tens of millions of streams in cinematic music, now turns to the dancefloor with DJ sets that shift across moods and genres while keeping the pulse of dance at the centre. Mona Chrome, a rising techno artist rooted in dub and house traditions, brings a hypnotic sound that has already won support from Solomun and Pan-Pot, with her forthcoming Unheard releases set to deepen her presence in the scene.

Far&High comments:

“We are happy to be part of not only the first release on Unheard Music, but also to be among the co-founders of this label. It’s a huge and meaningful part of our musical life. We want this label to become a comfortable space for self-expression, because if you think about it, there are only two types of music in the world: the kind you like and the kind you don’t. Our goal is to move beyond all genre, stylistic, and conceptual boundaries.

Our dream is to create a community that simply loves music, and our collaborative project Unheard Music is an attempt to erase those barriers. The label's focus is not genre-driven, but by the artistic vision of its creators. This is where the absence of a defined genre becomes the concept itself. We collectively believe in music that comes sincerely from the heart, without expectations… just great music. In the end, the concept is simple: freedom fuelled by dance music.”

Beyond recorded output, Unheard Music is building a movement through events in Dubai, London, New York and beyond, as well as video mixes, podcasts, and off-site sessions in unique locations. These experiences are set to connect people through sound, offering music as culture and community, rather than an algorithm.

‘Rabbit Hole’ marks the first release in Unheard Music’s journey. Providing a clear statement of the label’s vision, showcasing the founding artists’ experimental edge, and delivering a track that’s designed to resonate both on dancefloors and beyond. This release sets the tone for a full catalogue of forthcoming music, underlining Unheard Music’s prominent commitment to supporting artistic freedom and true underground expression.
